About Me

Hello! I guess you clicked through to find out a bit more about me, so here goes …

I love to be busy doing what I love – so busy I can’t sit down. I’m intensely focused and am able to pretty swiftly see the bigger picture, without being bogged down by the details.

Apparently, I’m a rare 50:50 left brain/right brain thinker which means I’m equally logical and creative. I’m blessed with a naturally sceptical mind, always on the hunt for answers. Able to instantly detect the flaws of a system – blessing or curse, you tell me? I express my thoughts in a novel and creative way. Love to talk and always have plenty to say but I’m also a great listener and can hear between the lines.

I’ve run a farm and was blown up by a volcano. I was a long haul stewardess for 10 years with the world’s favourite airline. I bought my first PC from the man who was to become the father of my children and my business partner. I made the transition from technophobe to IT director, juggled running a company with raising a gadget-coveting, head-banging, Star Wars-obsessed family, all the while being hopelessly addicted to World of Warcraft.

I have boundless energy, I’m excited by new ideas and I embrace change. I’m a natural born warrior and partisan with a fierce sense of loyalty, at my very best when up against the odds.

I’m part of an amazing women’s networking organisation called the Athena Network which has inspired and motivated me to do pretty much every cool thing I’ve undertaken in the last 6 years.

I have been dubbed girl geek and business nerd, but see myself as a ‘rock chick entrepreneur’ – which probably means that I think I’m way cooler than I actually am. My mission in life is to become hugely successful by doing what I love, and to be the happiest, most authentic me that I can be.

“Anyone can be a leader; the hardest part is stepping up and embracing the role. Believe me, I get scared and intimidated everyday – but I made myself a promise a long time ago that I would never avoid doing something just because I was afraid to fail. The biggest struggle for women today is balance. I want to be successful, authentic and happy – why should I compromise?”

I would love to hear from you and I’m usually loitering somewhere online so please get in touch here or connect with me on Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn.
